Waldorf schools are created and sustained through the partnership of parents and teachers. Faculty or the school’s leadership may recognize a talented parent through social interactions or a parent may see a need and take the initiative on their own. Either way, we invite and encourage you to involve yourself in any task and see where destiny leads you.
Being a Waldorf parent is about more than dropping one’s child off in the morning and buying an education. The parents are the will force at the school. It is important to value the gift that parents bring and to work at nourishing and sustaining their involvement in the school. When parents take advantage of the opportunity to get involved, it supports the development of strong parenting and community. A cooperative and active parent community models healthy community life for the children.
